Animal Farm
Animal Farm is a strange and upside down story about a farm of animals who decide to overturn their owner because of the lack of food they receive and the fact that they never get rewarded after a hard day of work. In this book George Orwell really shows the complexities of life for the animals on Manor Farm relating to the hard times of the war life going on in Europe at the time. The main point in this essay is basically trying to find out who will see out this rebellion and who would the animals look to as their leader. Orwell uses two different leaders of the rebellion in the beginning and in these two leaders there are two totally opposite styles of running things. This would lead to a lot of trouble but it would also secure a sole leader.
Near the beginning of the book the animals would decide and elect to share a role of leadership between two pigs, Napoleon and Snowball. These two chosen leaders were clearly different in the way that they wanted things to be run on the farm during and after the rebellion. “Napoleon was a large, rather fierce-looking Berkshire boar, not much of a talker, but had a reputation for getting his own way.
