Green Mile
The Book the Green Mile affected me in a very awkward way. It was based in 1935 about a man, John Coffey, a large black man, condemned by his own words. This man though was no ordinary man. He was convicted for rape of two 9 year old girls. It immediately seemed that John Coffey was not a bad man at all. He had asked for the lights to be left on at night because he was afraid of the dark. At that moment I thought how this man could of ever of done such an act. Then I read on.
Before John Coffey was to be executed he showed Paul Edgecomb who really did the rape by using his special powers. It was not John Coffey but another man who was already in jail and to be executed. Paul could not stop the execution though. This part was quite interesting to me since this really shows how sometimes the easiest and simplest answer isn’t always right. As
