Art Is About Ideas
Art is about Ideas. Ideas come from the heart and mind of the individual artist, putting everything they have into the artwork. People who view and interpret art are also directly involved in the phrase that “Art is about ideas.” It is up to the individual to interpret art for themselves based on ideas they have constructed in their heads about what art really is. For example, a photo of carefully placed objects could be art to someone because it is based on their ideas about art. Ideas are the building blocks for constructing an artwork. They give an artist a reason to create a piece of art and a way in which they are to complete it. The artworks chosen for this analysis are 'Beside the Garden' by Brian Robertson and 'Do Not Hesitate' by Claudine Hellmuth.
