Jane Eyre
I read Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. It has 548 pages. There are two main characters. The book is narrated by Jane Eyre. She was a very strong person throughout the book. Jane's parents died when she was young, and she was forced to put up with the cruelty of her Aunt Reed. Jane also dealt with the hardships in the orphanage, not knowing her family, with Mr. Rochester, being poor, and some other things. During her life, Jane learned and accomplished many things.
Mr. Rochester was another main character. He was first introduced when Jane was walking, and he fell off his horse. Jane helped him back up. She didn't realize who the man was until later. Mr. Rochester was left to be the master of Thornfield Hall after his father and older brother died, so he is very rich and socially superior to many people. He is usually described as being stern, but he could also be very caring at times. As the novel progressed, Mr. Rochester and Jane fell in love, but there were some obstacles between them.
One conflict in this novel was when Jane found out about Mr. Rochester's wife, Bertha Mason, who was still living. That hurt their relationship. He gave Jane an explanation about his wife and the situation he was put in. Jane h
