A Drive
Every Friday late in the afternoon about five Hess and myself start the hour long trip back to Mount Desert Island, we drive together in Hess’s little GMC Sonoma and mostly talk about cold beer and how much of it we plan to consume over the weekend until we have to go back late Sunday.
Getting out of down town Bangor is the hardest part because both of us have grown up on a small island with one stoplight in the middle of the three towns, and neither of us have really become accustomed to the city driving always wondering if I’m in the right lane or if I’ve missed my turn.
