Original Negative Utopia

    Visual Impairment “The world is dark, and bland. There is nothing and no one that can help me now. I am all alone.” As he walked down the street, George Gray thought to himself for a few moments. “Why is the world shaped the way it is? Why does everything have to constantly be the same; I feel as if there is no color in my life. Everything is black, white, and gray.” George did not know how true he was. He continued slowly pacing down Main Street, looking in the store windows as he passed by. He paused in front of one window. It had a television set, which were virtually extinct, and it was showing a family sitting around a table, with a tree in the background. “A family,” mumbled George. “A family and someone to love is all I really need in this world.
