    Surviving in the Klondike In the intriguing and interesting novel, “The Call of the Wild”, by Jack London, a house dog named Buck, whom was moved from the sunny Santa Clara Valley to the cold snow covered Klondike regions, contained many excellent survival skills. Out of the many new skills Buck learns and masters is leadership. Another strong trait is caution. And finally, Buck wouldn’t have survived without confidence. Leadership was an extremely essential skill in which Buck began to use soon after his arrival to the Klondike.
