Book report on
1. McMurphy, what made you want to help these patients find their “freedom?”
a. Well, ya see I was just lookin’ for some trouble at the beginning, but then I just felt like these guys weren’t sick, they were just scared, and after Cheswick died I felt it to be my responsibility that these guys make it out.
2. What made you start that fight with the aides?
a. I was just tired of their crap, always pushing us around. I was also hoping that Bromden would find his strength again, and he did.
3. What was the point of the bet against Nurse Ratched?
a. She was an authoritarian figure; she was controlling those patients with her “almighty” power. So I stood up to her, to let her know that we weren’t kids and to kind of inspire the others, to teach them to stand up for themselves.
4. Why did your attitude change so much toward the patients after Charles Cheswick’s Death?
a. His death made me realize that I was the backbone, I was their support, and they looked up to me. I didn’t realized that Charles still needed me, after all he did finally stand up for himself, he took action; I regret not standing up with him
5. How do you think the fishing trip changed the patients view on life
